Our military fitness classes are run by serving or former members of the Armed Forces with recognised fitness training qualifications. They will help motivate and encourage you back into fitness! Classes are graded by ability group and are for members of the public. They are designed for ALL abilities, from those just starting to exercise who want to lose weight, to the already very fit. Classes are based on teamwork, motivation and fun, giving you the encouragement and motivation you need to get in shape.

Suitable for all levels of fitness
Every class you take, you can choose which group you join. If you are finding your sessions too easy or hard you can change up or down a group. Most people start off with a beginner, blue bib, class and work their way up through the different levels. All venues run a fitness assessment once a month when you can measure your progress.

Beginners Groups:
For those people that currently do little or no exercise OR are returning to fitness training after a break. For example, after having given birth or returning from a medical condition. We work to the weakest member of the group. This level bib is for anyone to try, and at the bigger venues we do several levels of beginners classes. There is nothing to be afraid of!
Intermediate Groups:
For those who have worked their way up from our novice groups or those joining us who have a reasonable standard of fitness already. Intermediate classes are either a great way to keep weight off OR a great way to step up to more challenging classes, depending on the kind of person you are!
Advanced Groups:
Where the fittest members will be put through a very intensive session. Seperate advanced classes are run at most of our venues. The sessions are highly rated by the sports men and women that attend them who are looking to get pushed beyond anything they have experienced before. A great way of cross training for people who have no fear!

We’ll send you a health questionnaire to fill out, then at the meeting point, you will be welcomed by a BMF instructor who will talk with you about your health questionnaire and how much fitness (if any!) you do at the moment. They will then suggest which level you should start at.
